Everything that makes advertisers happy is to the detriment of humanity as a whole. Everything that makes advertisers' jobs easier also makes it easier for authoritarian governments. "Innovation" is no longer about creating new things, it's about taking what already works, breaking it, shoving ads on it and charging a ransom in the form of a premium subscription.

30 years ago somebody told me their opinion about "Changes" but I didn't know what Changes was. I just remembered to look it up, and according to Wikipedia it could've been any of about 50 things.

You only remember the ones where the plot goes totally off the rails, dialogue makes no sense, and acting is just bizarre. Whoever is writing this trash is chronically incapable of producing anything even remotely good. It’s either forgettably mediocre or experimental chaos and pure madness.

My mother fell down the stairs on Friday and experienced acute subdural hematoma presenting with uncal herniation. She has alcohol use disorder and this made the the tear that much worse. She was given a craniotomy and had the blood drained and has been in a medically induced coma since then. Doctors are not optimistic. My Dad, just retired. She was talking about getting a new dog. She turned 62 at the start of last month, I will be 31 at the beginning of the next. It's easy to get swept up in the world right now. Remember the impermanence of the ones you love and yourself. Gift vouchers can be nice presents, but if you think about it, you're paying for the opportunity to lock in your money forcing the recipient to shop at that particular company. And more often than not, the recipient will then spent a little more than the value of the voucher in order to use it all. If you'd given them money instead, the outcome would have been the same, but this way the company gets your cash in advance.
